O-Ring Splicing Kits
An o-ring splicing kit mainly contains 9 or 5 o-ring cord of different cross-sections with one-meter length, a splicing jig, a cutting tool, and adhesives. These accessories are packed in a plastic box, which is very convenient for placement and use. Users can fabricate and build the o-rings they need by cutting one cord length and using the adhesives to glue two ends.
The spliced jointing o-ring is a perfect solution for temporary emergency use. Since this o-ring type is spliced by hand, the tolerance is inevitably relatively large. Sometimes, you must splice several o-rings to get the most satisfactory size. If there is a hot vulcanization machine in your workshop, it is better to make o-rings by hot vulcanization splicing. If it is not for emergency use, it is recommended that you buy our mould-pressed o-rings so that you can get the most accurate o-rings to achieve the best sealing performance for your equipment.

How To Splice An O-Ring
SPLICING KIT FOR ON-THE-JOB REPAIRS WITH RAPID SET ADHESIVE.
This Splicing Kit will enable you to construct o-rings according to your custom requirements. NO SPECIAL SKILLS ARE REQUIRED – FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS. This kit contains everything you need to produce a perfect o-ring.

One razor blade, one splicing and cutting tool, one adhesive for rubber use, and one popular size of o-ring cord for two different kits.
1. HOW TO CUT CORD
If the o-ring diameter is known, just multiply by 3.14 to obtain the length. If the diameter is not known, place the cord in the o-ring groove or around the shaft at the seal location and mark off the cord. Add 1/2″ and cut off. Mark the final cut by inserting the cord into the cutting and splicing Tool.
2. HOW TO APPLY ADHESIVE
Remove the cap and flick the end of the tube with your finger to remove the liquid from the tip. Make a small hole in the tip with the pin. Apply the adhesive to only one of the surfaces to be bonded. See that the tip actually contacts the surface. Only a fraction of a drop is required. CAUTION: MORE ADHESIVE WILL MAKE A POOR BOND.
3. JOINING THE ENDS
For proper alignment, quickly place the treated surface into the correct “U” groove on the open side of the jig. Insert the untreated end into the”U” groove and slide it forward to meet the treated surface. Make firm contact and hold in position for one-half minute with slight finger pressure. CAUTION: BE CERTAIN NOT TO TWIST CORD MATERIAL BEFORE BONDING.
